Overview

‘Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.’ Proverbs 22:6

On a small and dusty road in the South of Haiti, 10-year old Tracy and her friends Tamel and Sino walk to their village school. It’s still very early in the morning, but Tracy is excited. “I love to go to school. I love the books and I love all the subjects.” Her eyes are shining: “But I especially love my teacher, she is so kind!”

In Haiti about half of the population cannot read and write. This horrendous statistic results in little prospect of a good job, resulting in poverty for the family. Word2Act provides quality, foundational education taught from a Christian perspective. Through its large international network Word2Act is able to improve education on multiple levels in various countries. This education equips coming generations to contribute meaningfully in their communities and stand proudly on the world’s stage.

At eight o’clock the school bell sounds in that little village in Haiti. The class is settled and the teacher takes the Bible. “Let’s begin our day with reading from God’s Word.”
